PHOENIX - The Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce’s Political Action Committee (PAC) has made a City Council endorsement for the upcoming City of Phoenix Special Election, to be held on Nov. 3, 2009. After a thorough review of questionnaire responses and personal interviews, the Chamber PAC has decided to endorse candidate Bill Gates for the open City Council seat in District 3.

“During this economic downturn, it is important for the business community to examine every candidate, at all levels of government. These candidates will have a tremendous impact on the business community in the next few years and we want to be sure the Chamber has a voice in that decision." said Todd Sanders, President & CEO, of the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce.

The Chamber PAC has a long history of involvement with local and state elections, supporting candidates who have distinguished themselves as knowledgeable and supportive of the issues that affect the success of greater Phoenix area businesses.
