National Healthcare Reform: Prognosis for Arizona
WHAT: The Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce will host a Phoenix Forum focusing on National Healthcare Reform. Industry experts will offer their analysis on the future of healthcare in America and how it will affect Arizona. Four breakout sessions will discuss various aspects of the reform and US Congressman John Shadegg will serve as the keynote luncheon speaker.
The Sessions are as follows:
Session 1: Impact on Business; James Gelfand – Senior Manager of Health Policy, US Chamber of Commerce.
Session 2: Access to Coverage; Charles Bassett – Vice President of Government Relations and Public Policy, Blue Cross Blue Shield. Bob Meyer, CEO, Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
Session 3: Delivery of Care; Shelly Schlenker – Vice President of Public Policy and Advocacy for Catholic Healthcare West. Tony Rodgers – Director of Arizona Health Care Containment System.
Session 4: Funding Health Reform; Representative Krysten Sinema, Dan Nowicki and Ken Alltucker, Arizona Republic reporters.
