U.S. TRANSPORTATION SECRETARY LAHOOD TO PROVIDE MORNING KEYNOTE AT CHAMBER STIMULUS EVENT
Attendees to learn how to profit from Federal funding

(PHOENIX) —The Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce will be hosting “The Stimulus Plan: What does it mean for Arizona business” a half-day event from 7 am – 1:30 pm, Friday March 27, at the Arizona Biltmore Resort and Spa. This half day event includes local and national industry experts, and will provide relative information on how the stimulus plan impacts Arizona business interests.

The morning keynote presentation titled “Getting American Moving Again: The Recovery Act” will be given by Ray LaHood, United States Transportation Secretary. Following the Secretary’s presentation attendees have the opportunity to attend two break-out sessions focusing on how the stimulus plan will impact industry sectors such as: science & technology, energy, healthcare, transportation and a panel focusing on how to do business with the government.

The event will conclude with a luncheon keynote presentation given by Doug Parker, Chairman and CEO for US Airways. His presentation is titled “Leadership in Times of Economic Turbulence.” Mr. Parker will shares his experiences working with leaders in business and government after September 11 and provide his thoughts on how we can lead through the challenges of economic uncertainties.

Tickets are $85 for the morning session (presentation by US Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood and break-out sessions) and $75 for the luncheon session (presentation by Doug Parker). The entire half day program is $150. Half tables and tables of ten are also available.
