CHAMBER TO HOST “FUELING OUR FUTURE: A BLUEPRINT FOR ENERGY INDEPENDENCE” CONFERENCE
National experts T.Boone Pickens and General Jones to present

(PHOENIX) – The Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce will be hosting energy hard hitters T.Boone Pickens and retired US Marine Corps Commandant and US Chamber Institute President and CEO, General James Jones at a half-day energy conference to be held 7 am to 1:30 pm, Thursday, Dec. 11 at the Arizona Biltmore Resort and Spa.

The half-day conference titled, “Fueling Our Future: A Blueprint for Energy Independence” will address the importance of preserving and improving America’s energy supply and the significance of energy on our quality of life, economic growth and national security. These two national experts will also be joined by a panel of Arizona energy leaders who will discuss sustainable energy options for Arizona.

Oil man turned wind energy advocate, T. Boone Pickens, will kick off the conference with “The Pickens Plan” for energy. Pickens’ plan focuses on reducing foreign oil dependence by harnessing domestic energy alternatives. The Texas Billionaire will outline his plan by addressing three critical issues: the economy, the environment and national security. Following his speech a panel of local experts will discuss Arizona energy options in wind, solar, hydro-power, nuclear and natural gas.

The conference will conclude with retired US Marine Corps Commandant and US Chamber Institute President and CEO, General James Jones. Jones will discuss the Institute’s strategic mission of uniting national energy stakeholders behind a common strategy to ensure America’s energy supply is adequate, affordable, and secure - while protecting the environment.

Tickets are $75 for the morning session (T. Boone Pickens’ presentation and Arizona Energy Panel Discussion) and $65 for the luncheon session (General Jones’ presentation). The full half day program is $125 and tables of ten are also available. To register for this energy conference, visit www.phoenixchamber.com.
